Why drink a single male whisky? Malt whisky is made only from malted barley and
only in pot stills, rather than the continuous stills that are used for grain
whisky. It is a less efficient process, but allows the spirit to retain more of
the character of the malt. A blended whisky is a grain whisky with different single
malt whiskies from different sources added. Some claim undying allegiance to single
malts, others declare blends to be excellent too - each to his or her own!
